ISO/TS 22591 has been published in July 2021.
Let us use it and discuss for a better international standard.
This standard was published as TC (Technical Specification) of ISO on July 22nd, 2021. It should be reconsidered and revised to upgrade to an authentic standard with keeping the following points (US comments) in mind.
1) Ground-based augumentation systems and their interface would generally be under the purview of ground systems operators and other TCs. It’s out of scope for SC14.
2) The normative statements in the standard are often vague with few specific requirements. The content is mostly non-normative. As there are few mandatory clauses, this standard needs to evolve to have more normative content.
The ballot toward the upgrade to International Standard that includes significant requirements is going to be conducted three years later. I’d like to upgrade it definetely.
