  1. ISO/TC 20/SC 14/WG1 has discussed on the needfulness of space-based services, and has been developing such standards.
In this subcommittee (SC 14), “space-based service working group” (maybe WG9) is proposed by France.
The WG 1 convener has officially reported the above issue at ISO/TC 20/SC 14 annual meeting in May 2021.

    • I quote the comment of Shoji Yoshioka, Head of Japanese Delegation in this meeting:
For establishment of the new working group, contents and varieties of services as scope should be fulfilled much more. For example, we can include the traveling and staying in space in the WG. As a result, the WG may be merged into the same category as the manned WG.

    • Australia is promoting building up space technology capacity in recent years.
I think space-based service standard is very useful for this project.
In GNSS area, we focus into timing measurement technology.

    • I personally agree to promote space-based services.
I think the world market needs this way.

  2. Would you please consider the harmonization with SC 16 unmanned aircraft systems (UAVs)?
I think the combination of satellites and UAVs is very nice, isn’t it?

    • I see. I’m a project leader of some GNSS standardization, and will consider the harmonization with UAVs.
A UAV market is rapidly growing now, and very attractive.
